tesserae for spatialized quintet (2022)
Instrumentation:
Trumpet, Paetzold Flute, Percussion, Keyboard, Electric Guitar
Duration: ca. 7' 00"
About the piece:
Incorporating ideas of reflection and spatialization, tesserae seeks to explore our perception of memory and how we experience a sequence of sonic events through the placement of "landmarks" in the music. Similar to how experiences and stories weave together to form a collection of memories, this piece explores the process of small fragments coming together to form a larger mosaic, and subsequently, the reverse process of disintegration as the sounds and moments fade away.
